Local Presidents’ Award
For a 9th grade student for community service, in the area of music, completed during 7th, 8th, and 9th grades. Application deadline: December 31st of the year the student is completing 9th grade. Application fee: $40. Local teacher can appeal to CFMTA to cover this fee. FSMTA Community Service Award For a 12th grade student for community service, in the area of music, completed during 10th, 11th, and 12th grades. Application deadline: December 31st of the year the student is completing 12th grade. Application fee: $40. Local teacher can appeal to CFMTA to cover this fee. These awards are given in recognition of leadership, achievements, and service to the community in the field of music. Included are music service activities in school, church, synagogue, and/or community (nursing homes, hospitals, civic organizations, etc.). Students who will be in 9th or 12th grades within the next 2 years can begin documenting their community service now in order to help with the process before they reach these grades. |
